Pottery throwing private tuition
Service Description
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your throwing skills, we offer one-to-one tuition on the pottery wheel. Prefer to come with friends? We can teach up to four people at a time. Join our expert tutor, Chris, for a hands-on session tailored to your level—making the most of your time at the wheel. Flexible time slots are available to suit your schedule. Once your pots are bisque fired you can choose to return for a glazing session to complete your experience (at extra cost) or we can glaze for you with one of our studio glazes . Finished pieces will be ready for collection after approximately three weeks. When you have selected your preferred date, you’ll receive confirmation of availability along with an invoice detailing payment information. Your booking is only secured once the payment is made.
Cancellation Policy
Bookings will only be considered booked once payment or deposit is taken. Before 4 weeks a non returnable deposit of £30 can be taken to secure the date. At 4 weeks before the workshop, full payment becomes due. Rescheduling up to 4 weeks before the workshop: Cancellations during this period will result in the loss of the deposit. The deposit and any additional fees paid may be transferred to a future date (subject to availability). Between 4 weeks and 24hrs deposit plus 20% of fees will be retained the remainder can be transferred to a future date or returned in the case of cancellation. On the day cancelations or no shows are non refundable. No-shows or same-day cancellations: These are considered forfeited bookings. No refunds or transfers will be issued. Firing & Material Costs Class fees do not include firing or material costs. These are payable upon collection of your finished work. Work Collection & Storage Completed work will be stored for up to 3 months. After this period, uncollected items will be considered unwanted and disposed of. If you're planning to return for glazing or have any concerns about storing your work, please get in touch so we can make arrangements. Studio Conduct & Safety Classes are suitable for ages 16 and up unless otherwise specified. All participants are expected to help maintain a safe and welcoming studio environment. Please be mindful of others, share space respectfully, and follow any safety instructions provided during your session. If you have any accessibility needs or special requirements, let us know in advance so we can accommodate you.
