Create your own animal sculpture in clay — perfect for complete beginners. In this two-part course, you'll sculpt an animal of your choice using clay. Reference materials will be provided for hares, cats, and foxes to inspire and guide you, but you're welcome to choose any creature you'd like just bring lots of pictures. You’ll learn essential hand-building and sculpting techniques, including how to shape, texture, and hollow your piece to prepare it for firing. can you make this more fun but proffessional This course runs over three Saturdays. The first Saturday is a full day so bring a packed lunch or there is food available at the local co-op. days two and three run from 10 - 1pm All materials, tools, and firings are included. Suitable for adults and older teens (16+). No prior experience required. Create Your Own Animal Sculpture in Clay Fancy bringing your favourite animal to life in clay? 🐾 Whether you love hares, cats, foxes, or something a little more unusual, this fun and friendly three-part course will guide you through creating your very own clay animal sculpture. Perfect for complete beginners, you’ll learn how to build and sculpt your animal using a range of hand-building techniques. We’ll explore how to create shape and character, add texture and detail, hollow your sculpture so it’s ready to be fired and finally add colour to bring it to life. We’ll have reference materials available for hares, cats and foxes to help get you started, but you’re absolutely welcome to create any animal you like — just bring plenty of photographs and inspiration with you! How the course works The course takes place over three Saturdays: Day 1 – 10am–4pm A full day of sculpting, shaping and getting your animal underway. Bring a packed lunch, or you can pop to the local Co-op for something to eat. Days 2 & 3 – 10am–1pm We’ll continue developing your sculpture, adding those all-important details and finishing touches before preparing it for firing. All clay, materials, tools and firings are included, so all you need to bring is your imagination (and some animal photos!). Suitable for adults and older teens aged 16+. No previous pottery or sculpting experience is needed — just come ready to get creative!

Cancellation Policy
Bookings will only be considered booked once payment or deposit is taken. Before 4 weeks a non returnable deposit of £30 can be taken to secure the date. At 4 weeks before the workshop, full payment becomes due. Rescheduling up to 4 weeks before the workshop: Cancellations during this period will result in the loss of the deposit. The deposit and any additional fees paid may be transferred to a future date (subject to availability). Between 4 weeks and 24hrs deposit plus 20% of fees will be retained the remainder can be transferred to a future date or returned in the case of cancellation. On the day cancelations or no shows are non refundable. No-shows or same-day cancellations: These are considered forfeited bookings. No refunds or transfers will be issued. Firing & Material Costs Class fees do not include firing or material costs. These are payable upon collection of your finished work. Work Collection & Storage Completed work will be stored for up to 3 months. After this period, uncollected items will be considered unwanted and disposed of. If you're planning to return for glazing or have any concerns about storing your work, please get in touch so we can make arrangements. Studio Conduct & Safety Classes are suitable for ages 16 and up unless otherwise specified. All participants are expected to help maintain a safe and welcoming studio environment. Please be mindful of others, share space respectfully, and follow any safety instructions provided during your session.
